Arrive by Public Transport
Mainline train to Carlisle, then local train to Kirkby Stephen on the famous Settle to Carlisle line. There are (infrequent) buses to the Kings Head or The Black Swan in Ravenstonedale. From there, it’s a 10-15 minute walk, although you can also ask the bus driver if they can drop you off at Greenside Lane – it’s not an official stop, so don’t be offended if they say they can’t. Alternatively, get a taxi from Kirkby Stephen, though it’s advisable to book in advance.
